Mi opinión:
El libro está escrito en primera persona y en presente. Hay capítulos narrados desde el punto de vista de Clara y también de su madre Morgan.
Clara:
¨I am learning that sometimes you have to walk away from the fight in order to win it.¨
Clara es una chica de 16 años que quiere ser actriz y, aunque no lo quiere admitir, le gusta mucho Miller Adams, un chico que le está evitando y el único chico que su padre le prohíbe ver.
¨Maybe they´ll colonize Mars, and I´ll want to move there and you won´t.¨
¨I´ll still love you from a different planet.¨
Ellos la tuvieron con tan solo 17 años, así que son muy estrictos con ella para que evite cometer sus errores.
Clara es muy simpática y alegre. Aunque a ratos llegó a comportarse de una manera muy egoísta e injusta, en todo caso sigue causando buena impresión porque nadie sabe cómo reaccionaria en su lugar. Su relación con Miller es muy bonita y tierna y los diálogos entre ellos muy divertidos. El tipo de humor de la autora funciona muy bien para mi y siempre consigue hacerme reír. Clara pasa por mucho a lo largo del libro y tiene que lidiar con la muerte de su padre y también con su madre cuya relación va de mal a peor desde que perdieron la única persona que les mantenía unidas.
Morgan:
¨You are a sacrificer. I don´t even know if that´s a real word., but that´s what you are. You do things you don´t want to do to make life better for the people around you. Like being the designateddriver. That doesn´t make you boring. It makes you a hero.¨
Morgan es la madre de Clara, una mujer que ha entregado su vida a su familia y que después de la muerte de su marido se queda completamente destrozada porque descubre algo que jamás había imaginado que su marido sería capaz de hacer. Se ve obligada a vivir con el secreto y también reinventarse y seguir con su vida.
Aparte de todo esto también tiene a Clara, con la cual no lo lleva nada bien y las cosas se ponen peor cuando su hija saca conclusiones equivocadas en cuanto a ella y ella no le quiere desmentir para no revelar el secreto de su padre. Morgan quiere aparentar estricta,pero es una buena madre, con mucha paciencia y capaz de sacrificarse para proteger a su hija. Su romance con Jonah me encantó y no sabría decir cuál de las dos parejas me gustó más.

Aparte de todo esto también tiene a Clara, con la cual no lo lleva nada bien y las cosas se ponen peor cuando su hija saca conclusiones equivocadas en cuanto a ella y ella no le quiere desmentir para no revelar el secreto de su padre. Morgan quiere aparentar estricta,pero es una buena madre, con mucha paciencia y capaz de sacrificarse para proteger a su hija. Su romance con Jonah me encantó y no sabría decir cuál de las dos parejas me gustó más.

No quiero revelar más cosas sobre el libro para que llegue a sorprenderos tanto como a mí cuando lo leáis. Estoy segura de que os va a encantar, aunque también hay momentos duros.
